Top Movies of the 90s

I have always been a big movie buff so I though I would create my first hubpage on my picks and reviews of the top movies of the 90s here.

1. A Few Good Men

This great 90s movie stars Jack Nicholson, Kevin Bacon, Keither Sutherland, Tom Cruise, and Demi Moore. Not to mention several other great actors of that time period. This movie takes place in a United States Marine Base in a remote Cuban City. When a murder of a private first class marine sends two other marines into a fight for their life to beat murder charges.

2. Liar Liar

In my opinion this is without a doubt one of the best movies of the 90s. This movie achieved some of the highest ratings ever seen at the time. What made this movie so popular was that it was a movie that appealed to both adults and children. The main star of this movie is Jim Carey. In this movie Jim Carey plays a crazed dad that ends up in so many sticky situations over his children. This comedy draws on Carey's funny demeanor and ability to make others laugh in less than positive situations.

3. Forest Gump

This is without a doubt a instant classic from the 90s with a team of actors starting with Tom Hanks, Gary Neice, Sally Field, and Wendy Finerman. In this movie Tom Hanks plays the role of the main character Forest Gump. Forest starts out as a disabled kid who is told that he will never be able to walk due to his health conditions. He not only learns how to walk but becomes a superb athlete especially when to comes to running. While this is partly a serious movie it will make you laugh hysterically throughout.

4. Dave

This great movie came out in 1993 and stars include: Kevin Kline as the main character, Sigourney Weaver, Ving Rhames, and Ben Kingsley. This movie brings together drama and comedy at it's best. It starts as an president impersonator takes over the white house when the real president has a stroke. It is one of the most heartfelt movies of the 90s showing us what life could be like with truth in the white house.

5. Mchale's Navy

One of the best movies of all times is based on a popular television series and does not disappoint. This film stars Tom Arnold, David Allen Greer, Tim curry, and Dean Stockwell. Arnold plays a navy commander retires to a little island where he is essentially the mayor. When he is recalled to the navy he encounters and old time villain from his past. This film is one of the funniest most original of the time period.
